Measuring the size of your excavator's rubber tracks is not as difficult as it seems!

Due to the large number of makes and models currently in service on the market, the range of rubber tracks has grown considerably, making choosing the right size very important.

To ensure you order the correct size for your excavator, Pièces Engins TP offers a step-by-step guide below, including diagrams to guide you through the process of measuring your tracks.

Step 1 : Width

Just measure from edge to edge on the outer side of the track. This measurement is always given in millimeters. (ex. 230mm)

Step 2 : Pitch

This measurement is the distance from the center of one link to the center of the next link on your track. This measurement is also expressed in millimeters. (ex. 96mm)

Step 3 : Links

This measurement is simply the number of links (or eyelets) in the track (eg 31 links). A link designates the metal bar which engages around the sprocket to drive the machine.
